The Association is a multi-purpose nonprofit organization providing a wide variety of benefits and services to the construction industry more particularly described as follows: - providing a Plans Room to contractors so that they may View projects which are out for tender; - publishing a weekly bulletin which is distributed by fax, mail and electronic bulletin board; - coordinating governmental relations with Municipal, Provincial and Federal Governments; - monitoring all new Legislation and Regulations of Government which may affect the industry; - educating and training members in keeping them up-to-date with new changes in professional and technical requirements as well as the new electronic media; - negotiating contracts with nine (9) International Trade Unions on behalf of members signatory to Collective Agreements - supervising and coordinating the arbitrations, strikes, lockouts and other matters on behalf of the industry, pursuant to the Collective Agreements;
